Aidmatrix Introduces New Release of Aidmatrix Network® for Disaster Relief

The nation’s online donations management system adds Warehouse and Volunteer Management Modules and “Post-a-Need” functionality -- Already Used in Midwest Flood Relief

DALLAS, TX – June 30, 2008 – The Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. announced that its new June ‘08 release of the Aidmatrix Network® for Disaster Relief is now live to all of the U.S. States and Territories currently enrolled in the Software-as-a-Service program. The Aidmatrix Network® is a national disaster relief coordination system funded by FEMA, The UPS Foundation, Accenture, and the Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. to better manage unsolicited donations and volunteers during times of disaster. In addition to the existing In-Kind Donations Management and Financial Referrals Management modules, there are two new major functional modules: Warehouse Management and Volunteer Management. These modules will complete the suite of end-to-end supply chain solutions for donations management. The net result of the solution is to get more relief to disaster victims more quickly.

Major Enhancements:
• The In-Kind Donations Management module is now greatly expanded with a key feedback feature. The “Post-a-Need” feature enables State Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOADs) to easily share their specific needs with the State online. The State can then work to match the donation offers with those needs and communicate 24x7 online with the State VOADs. The robust donation-offer tracking and allocation function-ality continues to be at the core of this first module in the disaster relief supply chain.

• The New Warehouse Management module handles the complete process of receiving donated goods, logging them into inventory, and tracking them through distribution to the relief agencies. This module provides real-time reporting and inventory tracking that can help the State better coordinate and communicate with its VOAD members.

• The Volunteer Management Module handles the referral, redirection or registration of the unsolicited volunteer depending on what the State needs. The referral and redirection allow the State to integrate with other volunteer management solutions that it may already have in place. In addition, the registration feature can be used by itself or in combination with the referral feature and enables the State to build and manage a database of volunteers.

This new release is already being used to successfully manage the donations process for the Midwest Flood Relief in Indiana and Iowa.

“With this powerful tool, we can be assured that the ability to provide assistance to the victims of tornadoes and flooding throughout Indiana will be maximized,” states Isaac Randolph, Executive Director, Indiana Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives.

“Nonprofits and State Offices of Emergency Services are among the most critical components of disaster relief in our country. Their business requirements demand a unique set of functionality of both being easy-to-use and quick-to-deploy while still providing advanced supply-chain and information sharing capabilities. We’re thankful for the partnership and thought leadership provided by these communities which enables us to provide the technology they need to power their mission,” said Michael Ross, Vice President of Delivery, Aidmatrix. “The Aidmatrix Network June ‘08 release meets these challenges head-on as evidenced in their immediate deployment during the Midwest Flood Relief efforts.”

The Aidmatrix Network connects State and local governments with donors, State VOADs, National VOAD, and FEMA through web-based tools that reduce paperwork and allow for easy information sharing. It enables each State, Commonwealth or Territory to have its own environment called a Portal. These portals are independent of each other, but are networked to share information and donations as needed. The portals are managed by the Donation Coordination Team (DCT) of that State, Commonwealth or Territory. FEMA also has a portal which is used to support States, Commonwealths or Territories that are not currently utilizing the Aidmatrix Network. FEMA also uses their portal for donations that come in at the national level that can then be made available to one or more States or National VOAD members. The program is provided free-of-charge to each U.S. State and U.S. Territory. It is a Software-as-a-Service model which means that all existing members now have access to each of these modules automatically without any painful migration or upgrade processes.

The Aidmatrix Network® now covers more than 50% of the US population. Its members are helping revolutionize the way in which humanitarian relief is processed. It is streamlining relief efforts with technology and relationships just like the supply chains used within the for-profit world. The solution suite includes management modules for: In-Kind Donations, Volunteers, Warehouse, and Financial Referrals.
