Atlantic City, NJ (MMD Newswire) September 19, 2012 - Everyone who eats dinner has a chance to change lives. Dinner & A Deed is simply about making the world a better place over dinner. When folks make reservations to have dinner with the founder, Karen Snow, they are making reservation to not only please their palate, but to satisfy their souls as well.
The way it works is simple. Make reservations to be a Dinner & A Deed guest, and over dinner each guest will receive an envelope with a custom do-good deed in it. Prior to meeting for dinner, each guest fills out a short questionnaire to determine the level of deed they are interested in receiving. It can range anywhere from simple with no cost, to elaborate or anything in between. Although the deed is geared towards their parameters, it will still be a total surprise for them.
Each deed is created by the founder with one purpose in mind: to make the world a better place. Whether it is helping children, animals, the environment, those less fortunate, or perhaps ourselves - everyone can participate. If folks live near or are traveling to the Atlantic City, New Jersey area they can meet with Karen at a local restaurant. People who live afar can still make reservations to have dinner and get their deed, but instead of meeting in person the dinner will take place over Skype. Reservations can be made at www.DinnerDeed.com
In addition to "Have Dinner With Me," there are several other unique ways folks can get a deed and make a difference- regardless of where they live in the world. Every Sunday, DinnerDeed.com creates a new weekly deed that is served on a plate. This weekly deed has two levels: "Doable" which involves little time and little effort, and "Going Big" which involves more time and more effort.
Folks can also host their own official "Make One, Take One" event. This event is perfect for family and friends where they gather over dinner and each guest "Makes" a deed and puts it in an envelope. All guests then put their envelopes in the center of the dining table and then "Takes" one other than their own. The idea is for them to go out in the world and do their given deed then come back to DinnerDeed.com and make it count. All these do-good deeds add up to make a big impact.
Adding up is part of Dinner & A Deeds goal. The goal is to have 5,000 deeds registered on our website by December 31, 2012. Deeds get counted when people send in a picture, video or few short sentences about the deed they did. That is a lot of smiles created, lives that were made better or perhaps even saved.
Dinner & A Deed was born out of Karen's passion for food, relationships that are formed around food, and her desire to help others. She believes dinnertime is not only a place to satisfy our appetites but to fill our souls as well. Dinnertime feeds people's natural desire to gather, to bond, and to strengthening our ever-growing relationships. Now it can also be a place where you can become part of something bigger than yourself.
