DCT announces price-barrier breaking, high-performance power plant for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids

SAN FRANCISCO, July19 - Device Conduit Technologies (http://www.deviceconduit.com )  announced today that it has initiated volume manufacturing prep for the DCT RackPackT Massively Intermoduled Battery (BIB) pack which can finally deliver 100 to 300 mile range to electric and hybrid vehicles at consumer market prices.

Gray Holland, Industrial Design Chief for the effort and former creative lead at Frog Design and designer of the GM EV1 electric car says: "This is a breakthrough solution combining off the shelf systems in a novel manner and adding never-before-seen new invention to solve the last challenge of the EV opportunity".

The technology uses high volumes of ordinary batteries along with novel new DCT designed energy containers managed wirelessly so that your car can talk to you and administrate your vehicle, home and portable power. It does this in a proprietary manner which creates higher performance than any other battery system. Two issued patents, two patents pending, extensive trade-secret knowledge and a powerhouse IP legal team protect the product knowledge.

This device will help such efforts as the recent Google plug-in Prius announcement which has the participation of major Car Rental companies but faces the challenge that their customers are mostly tourists with no place to plug in the cars at their hotels. DCT has the only technology to solve that problem for every car rental company nationwide. DCT's elite team consortium includes a team made up of support resources which include:

The US Commerce Dept.; the State Of California; the CFO who was finance chief at Oracle and Pixar; the senior IT Engineer from LucasFilm; Industrial designers for Iomega, Frog Design and the General Motors EV1; The owners of 40,000 square feet of factories in China; An engineering team for Oracle, Loral Space Systems, Sun, Guidant, Boston Scientific, Applied Materials, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop-Grumman & Opti-Solar; and more. Two vehicle customers are already engaged with DCT on the effort and DCT is in discussion with a large number of other interested parties. A future version of the system is designed to be sold at national auto stores and will be user installable.

DCT is a spin-off of Clever Industries LLC, a San Francisco Based technology incubator in business since 1978.
