Conway's BBQ signs area development agreement in Ohio

Orlando, FL. – Conway's BBQ, an Orlando based chain of barbecue restaurants founded in 1996 by Douglas Colson has executed a twenty unit franchise development agreement in and around Columbus, Ohio.

The franchisee will acquire all development rights in a territory surrounding Columbus, Ohio.  This transaction is the second multi-unit development agreement in as many years outside their headquarters of Orlando, Florida.  In 2006 Conway’s signed a similar agreement in Pennsylvania.

J & R BBQ, LLC, an Ohio Corporation is the developer of record.   Jim Harrison is the President of J & R BBQ, LLC and is a long time multi-unit operator of Burger King Restaurants in Ohio.  His operational experience will certainly aid in the expansion of the Conway’s brand throughout Ohio and the United States.

Barbecue has always been a staple in the South but now is drawing great interest all over the United States.  This development agreement will allow Conway’s BBQ to immediately expand its franchise operations and continue to meet the company’s development goal of one-hundred stores in operation by 2020.

Conway’s BBQ is a multi faceted restaurant operation focusing on Southern regional cuisine.  In addition to sit down and quick service operations they also have a tremendous presence providing “Special Event Catering” and “Delivery” to the countries largest Corporations.
