Miami, FL (MMD Newswire) October 19, 2009 -- Every Wednesday night La Covacha Miami's premier Latin club turns into The Cove presenting Wednesday Night Live where local and national comedians showcase their acts weekly.
Some of the most talented local and national comedians perform, giving Miami and the Doral a very sought after evening. In addition, Florida International University and University of Miami Performing Art students participate in the weekly Wednesday event bringing in Improv troupes and performers from other local comedy clubs in Miami and the rest of South Florida. This is an attempt from The Cove to enrich Miami's entertainment scene and to grant many of these young student performers the ability to perform live and hone their art.
The Comedy evening gets an early start with half price drinks and food specials starting at 6pm with Happy Hour and then continuing with the comedy show at 8pm. This fall some very popular national acts will be booked to complete the season. A schedule of Wednesday weekly performers will soon be out to the public. This is an opportunity for our community to support these local comedians and students allowing for Miami to have a different and special night in the Doral as we back our local talent and students. It's the perfect evening for a first date, a family night, a birthday party or just to break the humdrum of the week, the Wednesday hump. It starts early and ends early.
