Coast Guard establishes temporary security zone on Detroit River

DETROIT (MMD Newswire) January 10, 2011 -- The U.S. Coast Guard is enforcing a temporary security zone on the Detroit River near Cobo Center during the North American International Auto Show.

The security zone has been established by Coast Guard Sector Detroit and will be in effect from 9 a.m. today through 10 p.m. on Jan. 23.

The security zone has been established to protect event participants and attendees from maritime threats.
