“I am of course thrilled that my newly launched line is already gaining popularity,” says Stella Rubinshteyn, the designer and founder of Lucky Stella. “Soon the public will be introduced to it and I am confident that it will become with them.”
The belief in the “evil eye” is ancient. This centuries old superstition is still strong in Europe, the Middle East, South and Central Asia and by way of immigrants in the US. The evil eye talisman is a powerful symbol in Fang Shui, the ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve harmony, and Kabbalah, the spiritual study of God and creation. Both of which are popular in Hollywood.
Stella, an immigrant from the Ukraine, has a strong belief in the powers of the evil eye. This inspired her to create an unusual line of apparel and accessories inspired by “evil eye” talisman. The “Lucky Eye” collection is a way of expression and protection for a fashionista or anyone who is superstitious to ward off the “evil eye”. “Each one of my designs prominently displays the “lucky eye” so it can absorb the negative energy from the person casting the evil eye to protect the person wearing it,” says Stella.
Women’s and children’s clothing and hats are screen printed or embroidered and accented with genuine Swarovski crystals individually hand set by Stella –which makes each item an original.
