On-line Newsletter Announces Poll Results

Blue Bell, PA, September 18, 2007: Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MI) was named “America's Most Trusted Senator” by the readers of the on-line newsletter, New Political Review.com.

“This is the second poll we’ve organized since we began publishing in 2006,” says publisher Anthony Mirabile. “The poll is an interactive, on-going way for the American public to get involved and to keep our democracy vital. We can’t wait for elections – we have to stay on top of our representatives on a daily basis.”

Readers selected McCaskill the winner after two rounds of voting. The first votes narrowed the field to 20 senators. The second round determined the winner. Senators were ranked according to their integrity, honor, dignity and character.

Senator McCaskill, elected in 2006, served as the Missouri State Auditor from 1998 until her election to the US Senate. Her committee assignments include the Senate Armed Services, Commerce, Homeland Security, Indian Affairs and Aging committees.

Her no-nonsense approach and her willingness to take on controversial issues resonate deeply with concerned voters.
