Christ-based Counselor and Christian Educator Discloses Biblical Origin of Prehistoric Beings and linkage to Human Functioning
Flower Mound, TX -- June 1, 2007 -- Few persons in Christian ministry possess the courage to discuss the existence of prehistoric man and dinosaurs. Since there is a popular view, which limits creation to five-thousand years, the topic is considered taboo in many circles. Any person attempting to explain prehistoric findings from a Biblical perspective risk being associated with evolutionist doctrine. However, Dr. Steven B. DavidSon takes exception to these limits and characterizations. He further holds that denying the existence of these creatures, or the estimated period of their existence on the earth opened-the-door to the evolutionists.

DavidSon identifies some serious challenges in what he calls traditional-theology concerning the beginning of the earth. “First, let me be perfectly clear. God’s word, the Bible is an instrument of faith. I am not attempting to use science or any other theory to affirm God’s word. God’s word is self-affirming. In the beginning He created the heavens and the earth. However, what we have in Genesis, particularly Genesis 1:2 cannot be the beginning of all creation. It is only the beginning of creation relative to humanity’s economy. As an example, Genesis 1:2 is a scene of darkness and chaotic waters. This cannot be the opening scene of all creation. Biblically, what we do know about the manifestation of God is that He is incomprehensible ‘light’ to state it simply. Clearly, there are persons who do not accept this literally. I do. Also, waters are already present. So, the first scene of creation prior to Genesis 1:2 could not be staged in darkness or with waters or vapors in any form. There’s a mountain of similar Biblical evidence supporting this premise.”
DavidSon provides substantive prose and Biblical evidence on the topic in the advanced section of his book, the Believer from Milk to Maturity, the Ultimate Health Program.
DavidSon offers additional evidence. “Similar to Eschatology or the study of end-times where information is gathered from several books in the Bible, it is difficult achieving a comprehensive view of the beginning recorded in Genesis without a similar approach. My view is that one of the reasons God created humanity was to humiliate Lucifer, the extraordinary angelic being. Operating with God’s permission, Lucifer possessed limited creative abilities, which contributed to his pride and demise. This could have included any type of creature including prehistoric beings. Consistent with the Noahic flood where humanity’s failure was addressed, I submit to you that Genesis 1:2 is the aftermath of God responding to a part of His angelic creation gone awry. Therefore, my Biblical view is that the condition in Genesis 1:2 is a Creator-originated calamity in the cosmos, and not a big-bang by happenstance. This further provides additional significance concerning God’s proclamation to make man in ‘Our image and Our likeness,’ and His promise to never destroy the earth with water again after the Noahic flood.
Jesus made a very powerful statement about hell. He stated that hell was prepared for Satan and his angels. Clearly, humanity is a collateral casualty. More importantly, we must connect the dots here. Once we comprehend angelic history and the capabilities of spiritual principalities, we understand their present effect on human functioning and particularly the cognitive process.” DavidSon uses the term, “thought-agents” to describe the daily operation of spiritual entities on human functioning. DavidSon adds, “Obviously, humanity has made marvelous advances in the cognitive related sciences, but disciplines that deny Christ-based realities will never fully comprehend mental functioning among other deficiencies. As Jesus would say, ‘he who has an ear, let him hear.’”
