Maria Shriver to receive a free cell phone headset

San Diego, CA (MMD Newswire) October 14, 2009 -- It would seem that Mrs. Maria Shriver just can't seem to break the habit of holding her cell phone while driving. As reported by virtually every media outlet from talk radio to TMZ, Mrs. Shriver has been caught multiple times holding her cell phone while driving. A violation of the headset law her husband supported so intently.

FreeHeadset.org, a California organization which promotes safe driving by distributing discounted hands-free devices, has shipped a complementary Motorola Bluetooth headset in hopes that she will use it to help show support for this important safety issue.

The headset (reportedly pink in color) left San Diego on Tuesday evening; in route to the First Lady's office in Sacramento.

Matt MacAdams, founder of the FreeHeadset.org organization, was quoted as saying "Using a headset is an important safety issue that often gets overlooked. The headset law that was passed last year helped raise awareness, however it's obvious that not everyone participating. I'm sure her husband will help her sort this out..".
