Harrell has made many commitments to provide Henry County a "One Community, Outstanding Leadership." Public safety is placed first on Harrell's list of commitments to the Henry County citizens.
Harrell takes a "nonnegotiable" stance on her commitment to "keep public safety strong." Harrell stated that she will "fight for the public investment it takes to keep our streets and homes safe." Harrell wants to fight for the fair treatment and compensation of all public safety personnel as well as an incentive and competitive pay scale.
Next on Harrell's list of top priorities is education and the youth. Harrell is headstrong in promoting and creating early head start programs for the Henry County youth. Harrell wants to reintegrate the vocational training programs into the school system as early as the middle school level. With the vocational training in place Harrell hopes that by supplying this program to the youth it will "lower the [high school] dropout rate by keeping the children engaged early."
Transportation is another hot topic Harrell would like to address for the Henry County citizens. Harrell states she is a big supporter of commuter rail and live, work, play communities. She commented on ways to alleviate the traffic congestion with ideas such as to "collaborate with corporations/companies to find ways to provide "work from home" opportunities for the citizens of Henry County."
Harrell made many comments focused around saving tax payers money and replenishing the economy in Henry County. According to Harrell by tracking thriving industries such as health care, youth, technology and green economy we can bring skilled jobs and revenue back to Henry County. Harrell is having her official campaign kickoff party begins at 6:30pm tonight at 910 Eagles Landing Pkwy, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
