BROOKLYN PLAYWRIGHT TO BE FEATURED AT MIDTOWN INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL
July 21, 2008

Truth Is will not disappoint those familiar with Mr. Heath’s previous plays, Four Quarters and Wally and Jesus. The sold-out run of his Fringe hit, Four Quarters, was described as “sexy, savvy”, “compelling” and “involving.”  Wally and Jesus (Fall EATFest 2005) took the audience from “a hilarious, bizarre opening to a powerful and sad conclusion.”

Truth Is - Synopsis
Confronted with the questions of who they are and where they’re headed, five individuals struggle to reconcile their lives at the crossroads of change and control.

A mundane argument leads to a shocking revelation.  A stranger questions what we know.  A difficult path becomes the only option after a lover’s embrace.  What is your truth?

Directed by Lindy Rogers with David J. Cummins, Nick DeSimone, Sarah Lilley, L. Jay Meyer, and Lindy Rogers

Reviews of Christopher Heath’s previous work:

“The joys and frustrations, heartaches and headaches of modern relationships are brought together in one bedroom in Christopher Heath’s sexy, savvy play, Four Quarters.  The result is an intriguing, if not altogether enlightening, examination of the elusive emotion called love.” –Elias Stimac, Backstage, August 2002

“…a very entertaining and compelling play.” –Liz Kimberlin, nytheatre.com, August 2002

“Four Quarters…promises no easy answers but does make its questions about human caring and understanding both involving and powerfully disturbing.” –Jules Becker, New England Entertainment Digest, October 2002

“…more information and emotions are revealed about the nature of the shooting, bringing Wally and Jesus from a hilarious, bizarre opening to a powerful and sad conclusion.” –Michael Wang, Show Business Weekly, November 2005
