BOSTON BUSINESSWOMAN JUGGLES DEMANDS OF THREE PRESIDENCIES
January 28, 2008

03 January 2008 - Newton, MA - Ms. Lisa Sacchetti, Brookline Resident and President of The Renaissance Network, Inc., a Newton based technology focused sales & marketing recruiting firm has been named President of the Massachusetts Association of Personnel Services, the trade association of the Massachusetts professional recruiting industry for which she also served as volunteer treasurer since 2001.  Lisa also serves as the President of the Ellen M. Gifford sheltering home for cats, a Brighton based no-kill cat shelter at which she has been a volunteer since 2001.

Ms. Sacchetti, MAPS Treasurer since 2001, was approached repeatedly by the MAPS Board of Directors during 2007 to consider running for the position of President due to her proven performance  managing the finances for the organization as well as her board level leadership abilities.  She assumed the Presidency on January 1, 2008 and will attempt to both grow the membership rolls and increase the value of membership to member firms. Ms. Sacchetti will increase her work with MAPS, which she does on a strictly volunteer basis, and which can sometimes be to the detriment of her primary position running The Renaissance Network.  Lisa founded the Renaissance Network in 1995 as a technical recruiting firm in downtown Boston and her company was ranked as one of the top 25 recruiting firms in the Northeast by the Boston Business Journal.  Her firm now focuses primarily on Sales, Marketing and "C" level executives for private technology companies nationwide.

Ms. Sacchetti also finds joy bringing her organizational capabilities and business acumen to bear as volunteer president of The Gifford Shelter, which is one of the oldest animal shelters in the City of Boston having been in operation since 1884.  She oversees 3 managers and 60 volunteers and is presently engaged in completely renovating the shelter which is in danger of collapsing.  She recently  successfully fought through a tedious 2 year zoning process with The City of Boston for building approval.  Prior to her, no previous director or real estate attorney affiliated with the shelter had been even willing to try to get the work done due to the next to impossible odds of success.
