February 25, 2008

Boomers love being in love and they’ve found their favorite love songs in an unlikely place – online. They’ve outgrown their disdain for the music of their parents and grandparents, finding “Standards,” the perfect soundtrack for their 40, 50 and 60 something romances. Online radio station MartiniInTheMorning.com polled it’s 10,000 plus daily listeners, most between the ages of 40 and 55, asking their favorite love song. As the station counted down the 50 most romantic songs on Valentine’s Day, February 14th 2008, it became apparent that Frank Sinatra’s love songs are timeless. Five of Sinatra’s love inspired tunes made the MartiniInTheMorning.com 50-most romantic songs, including “All or Nothing At All” at 48, “Let’s Fall in Love” at 32 and Sinatra’s twist on the Rogers and Hart classic “My Funny Valentine” at 28.
