“Behind The Blue” – a promising new album from Bulgarian singer/songwriter Kiril Valeri

Kiril Valeri’s second album, “Behind The Blue”, will be available in German and Austrian music stores from mid-April 2007.

2007-03-12 -- This talented Bulgarian jazz singer has been living and working in Vienna since 1992, where he has performed at the State Opera Ball, the Viennale Film Festival, the Hofburg Imperial Palace and many local jazz clubs.

Kiril’s first CD, “New Life”, was released by Ka Music/EMI Bulgaria in 1999. AIDS/LifeCycle, an AIDS charity in the US, used “Swan Lake” –  a track from “New Life” – to promote its sporting events in San Francisco in 2005. Other artists chosen for that project include Heather Small from M People, Moby and Paul Van Dyk.

Four songs from the new album “Behind The Blue”, promoted on the internet for three weeks in February 2007 by KVZ Music, reached No. 2 on the Soul/Funk Charts and No. 6 on the Euro Charts of the German Internet Independent Charts.

“Behind The Blue” features 8 new compositions written by Kiril Valeri and 2 cover songs – “Skylark” (originally by Hoagy Carmichael) and “Agua de Beber” (originally by A.C. Jobim). The music on the album ranges from soul-pop and jazz-acappella to electronic drum ‘n’ base, an eclectic mix which will appeal to a broad audience.

The CD is now available for download on www.itunes.com . Kiril’s label, KVZ Music, also plans to produce 2 new music videos for the new album. For more information about Kiril Valeri you can visit his official website on www.kirilvaleri.com
