Currently there is a court battle between Cody O'Dea and The Adoption Center of Choice/represented by Larry Jenkins in the Utah courts. Court Case number: 064903925. The parents were/are unwed, both residents of Wyoming at the time of the childs conception, birth and surrender of the baby girl to The Adoption Agency of Choice by the mother.
 
The father has fought the adoption stopping it in Wyoming and Montana causing LDS Family Services who was initially placing the child at the request of the mother into a Mormon home to back out. It appears the adoptive parents took another route. The mother is LDS, the father is non-denominational Christian. The argument is the fathers civil rights have been violated.
