Ball Watch Receives Exclusive Permission by the USNRC to Create the Brightest Watch Dial Available in the US. Scientific breakthrough confirmed.

St. Petersburg, FL -- October 19, 2006 -- Ball Watch Company  now has the brightest watch dials in the United States. The company has just been given permission from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission to use 4 times (up to 100 milicuries) the standard allowed amount of tritium. Tritium is a harmless radioactive isotope of hydrogen that is popularly used to light up  watch dials for nighttime activities and for underwater use. This addition to the company’s watches will allow higher lumes to remain active and brighter and more importantly will light up for approximately 20 years without charging.

Ball Watch’s talented watchmakers also affix a tiny, delicate gas tube light on the dials and hands to create the BALL Watch signature design. Self-Powered Micro Gas Lights (3H) are a novel light source manufactured by means of innovative Swiss laser technology that can be used on all types of watches. It provides superior, long-life brightness – 100 times brighter than the current markings using luminous paint and with a useful life easily reaching 25 years. It does so without charging from the sun or the use of batteries.

All Ball Watches are equipped with the patented, Ball-engineered self-powered micro gas light technology. With the increase in the amount of tritium allowed now – this will make Ball watches the most luminous in the U.S. Other innovations of Ball are a 7,500 G force shock resistance, the -40 degree Celsius temperature rating and a patented crown protection system.

Ball Watches are available in a large variety of styles. The complete product line can be seen here: www.ballwatchusa.com/watches.htm
