Wi-Fi manufacturers implementing Miracast™ technology on their products can already request to perform Miracast™ test plan on AT4 wireless facilities.
Miracast™ technology was developed in Wi-Fi Alliance by a diverse and collaborative group of mobile and consumer electronics manufacturers and silicon vendors with the aim to develop a standardized method for simplified video sharing. Miracast™ devices will provide easy discovery and seamless setup of Wi-Fi devices. With the use of this new technology users will be able to quickly transmit video content from device to device, display pictures stored in a smartphone on a high definition television, or easily share a laptop screen with a conference room projector during a meeting.
