"Error Proofing" systems often referred to as qualifiers, have been used to insure the proper installation of threaded fastener systems for many years. Versions of these "Error Proofing" systems are available from many suppliers for both electric and pneumatic screwdrivers. One major drawback with these systems is that there has never been a unit that would work with the popular "Push-to-Start" screwdrivers.
This problem has resulted in many users not incorporating "error Proofing" systems into their assembly process because they need to use "Push-to-Start" pneumatic screwdrivers for their ergonomic benefits.
ASG's GEN II Pneu-Aira Qualifiers remedy the problem. The qualifier is the first system to offer error-proofing capability for push-to-start pneumatic screwdrivers. It also will work on shut-off lever or trigger-controlled screwdrivers, right angle nutrunners and pulse tools.
The patent pending system easily learns and monitors the entire assembly process and identifies errors as they occur. GEN II Pneu-Aira users simply follow prompts on a large, easy-to-read screen to quickly and easily set up the system. A sample fastener is driven and the unit "learns" the time and pressure curve to use as a template for subsequent runs.
Features of the system include eight programmable parameters, automatic sequencing, password protection, remote light indicator, a PLC interface cable and the software, cable and connector required to connect to a PC for graph plotting and remote programming.
